Crisis Services for Children and Youth

Mobile Crisis for Children and Youth

Tennessee offers statewide 24/7/365 mobile crisis services for children and youth through partnership with four community providers: Youth Villages, Mental Health Cooperative, Frontier Health, and McNabb Center. Throughout the state, specialized Crisis Services staff assess and evaluate children and youth, up to age 18, who are experiencing a psychiatric emergency. You can access mobile crisis services by calling or texting 988 and pressing 0 to speak with a crisis counselor.

Additionally, the state has one Crisis Walk-In Center and Crisis Stabilization Unit operated by McNabb Center in Knoxville.  Additional centers for children and youth in Nashville and Memphis are currently in process.
